As part of its bid to host the 2030 Olympic Games, Egypt launched the construction of one of the world’s largest Olympic cities, covering 92 acres and featuring the largest football stadium in Africa with a capacity of 94,000 spectators. The challenge was to deliver a large-scale, high-performance elevator system within a tight timeframe and in compliance with global safety standards.
Solution
After fierce competition with several international brands, GEC was awarded the elevator package for the entire city. We successfully supplied and installed 23 elevators of various sizes and specifications across all key buildings, including stadiums, covered sports halls, VIP facilities, and the city’s hospital.
